Learn to take risks in life. If you win, you can lead. If you lose, you can guide.
No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted…

It doesn’t matter
How many breaths it will take
Just how many moments took your breath away
And it doesn’t matter
How many times you cried
Just how many reasons you find to smile
It’s ok
It’s alright
And it doesn’t matter
How many times you fall
Just as long as you get up standing tall
And it doesn’t matter
If the world don’t care what you do
Just as long as it’s the world to you
Just hold on
Mhm, yeah
Keep on, and on and on
Diggin’ in the dirt
Looking for gold
Getting through the hurt for something to hold
In every single word let the story be told
Diggin’ in the dirt
Diggin’ in the dirt
To find some soul - u-ohhh
To find some soul - u-ohhh
To find some soul - u-ohhh
To find some soul
It doesn’t matter
If you’re stuck deep in the mud
Just as long as you will keep your head up
And it is getting better
As time goes by you will see
There is a new turn at the end of the street
Just walk on
Mhm, yeah
Keep on, and on and on
Diggin’ in the dirt
Looking for gold
Getting through the hurt for something to hold
In every single word let the story be told
Diggin’ in the dirt
Diggin’ in the dirt
To find some soul - u-ohhh
To find some soul - u-ohhh
To find some soul - u-ohhh
To find some soul

Translation of certain parts of this song at bottom. I miss my father so much, but I have come to realize people all have a certain amount of time here. You can’t really know when your time is up. But my father had fulfilled his “duties” while he was here on this earth and left my grandma, my aunt, me, and all he knew with something special that we will always cherish. All who REALLY got to know my father knew he was someone well worth getting to know. He always dressed differently because he didn’t want to be around people who cared about how he looked. He came to Germany again after I told him that he should and that it was the best decision to make as things were not going well for him in America, and his sister had been diagnosed with Cancer. During the time here, he was able to reconnect with his own family, have time with my greatgrandma and Aunt before the both passed away. He gave me the opportunity to know my family as I started to come here every year during the summers. He was there for my grandma when my grandpa passed away, and I finally got to be there for him during his illness and his last year of his life. I am forever thankful for all my father has taught me, and he knew that he had raised a daughter to be all she could in her life. Although many years we spent apart, away from each other, with little contact - I knew he was always always always there for me even if thousands of miles away. Distance is only an excuse people make when they don’t prioritize their time. There are many many many positive memories I will always hold with me and cherish for the rest of my life.
This song is sad, but accurate. How my father was - as he always was, will be how I will always remember him.
Just as you were
Don’t be afraid, I’m here for you
Hold your hand and remind me
Where are the years and the days of happiness?
They flew by, So I Hold you Thight and look back…
Thoughts are passing me, I’m proud of the time we had!
Chorus:
Just as you were you will stay here
Just as you were you’re always with me
Just as you were the time Tell’s
Just as you were so much of you stay’s here
Let go my friend
and don’t worry
I’ll be there for the ones you love
Each brief moment and Instant
I hold him in honor, no matter where you are
A whole life passes by,
I’m proud of the time we had
